Place of Shadows was born from the creative connection between Lisa Foerderer and Dianna Ferrand, who have spent years playing together in the band Blue Movie and sharing musical ideas that instantly clicked. When Mike Robinson, who previously played with Lisa in the band Korro, joined the project, he brought another layer of perspective and influence that helped shape the band’s evolving sound.

With more than 15 collective album releases across past and present projects, the members of Place of Shadows draw from decades of songwriting, recording, and live performance experience. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time, music rooted in shared human experiences, emotion, tension, and connection.
